Procedures For Installing Automated Barriers

Installing automatic barriers is a procedure that needs to be done carefully. The processes for installation are described in full below.

Preparation Before Installation

Survey of the site: Prior to installation, the parking lot site must be surveyed to determine the actual conditions, including ground conditions (flatness, slope, etc.), vehicle flow (flow conditions during peak and trough periods), and entrance and exit locations (obstacles, good line of sight, etc.). Determining the barrier's installation location, choice, and future use requires this knowledge. To guarantee that the operator can see the vehicle entering and leaving, for instance, you might need to install supplemental monitoring equipment or change the barrier's installation height and angle if the line of sight at the entrance and exit is poor.

Equipment selection: Depending on the needs and circumstances at hand, choose the right kind of automatic barrier. The type of barrier (straight-bar, curved-arm, fence, etc.) is one of the factors that must be taken into account. Various kinds are appropriate for various situations. The length of the barrier (determined by the width of the entrance and exit), the speed of the barrier (places with large vehicle traffic require faster lifting speeds), and the function of the barrier (such as whether it needs to have license plate recognition, remote control operation, anti-smashing functions, etc.) are some examples of barriers that work well in areas with relatively open space, such as straight-bar barriers, curved-arm barriers, and fence barriers.

Formulate installation plan: Create a comprehensive installation plan based on the findings of the on-site investigation and equipment selection. This plan should include the following: cable wiring (plan the direction of power lines and control lines to avoid interference with the lines of other facilities, and consider the safety and aesthetics of wiring, such as burying the cable underground or protecting it with a wire tube), installation location (to ensure that the gate is firmly installed and the foundation is stable to avoid shaking or tilting during use), and equipment layout (determine the specific location of the gate at the entrance and exit, and consider the coordination and safety with surrounding facilities, such as the distance between the gate and the guard booth and the wall should be appropriate to facilitate operation and maintenance), etc.

Get the necessary tools and supplies ready in accordance with the installation plan. These include electric drills, electric welders, screwdrivers, cables (choose cables that meet the gate's power and control requirements), expansion screws (used to secure the gate chassis), and spirit levels (to guarantee that the gate is installed horizontally).

Procedure For Installation

Positioning and marking: Mark the equipment's outline and the installation holes on the ground in accordance with the equipment configuration and position decided by the installation plan. To guarantee the accuracy of the installation that follows, this step needs to be done precisely. For instance, you can mark to make sure the gate chassis installation location matches the prearranged one using instruments like a tape measure and an ink fountain..

To install the chassis, set the chassis in a fixed position, open the door, and loosen the butterfly nut that secures the cap. Take care to place the door and cap to prevent scratches on the surface. After marking the center of the screw hole on the bottom plate of the chassis and the edge of the chassis base, take out the gate and use a drill to drill holes vertically in the designated screw holes. The drill size must be the same as the expansion bolts that come with the device, and the depth must be sufficient to meet the requirements for expansion screw length. To make sure the chassis is securely fastened, slide it back to its starting position and then tighten the expansion screws.

Install the gate rod: After the gate chassis is securely fastened, install the gate rod. Determine the gate rod's inclination and tighten the handle position using the included screws. If a fork rod is needed, debug the vertical and horizontal states first, then manually shake the gate rod to the horizontal position, figure out where to install it at the end of the gate rod, and secure it firmly with screws. If there isn't a fork rod, no installation is necessary.

Installation of peripheral equipment: Following the gate's secure installation and debugging, connect the chassis circuit and the control circuit of any associated peripheral equipment (such as a ground sensor coil, card reader, license plate recognition device, etc.) in accordance with the gate control board's wiring diagram in accordance with the needs of the customer. Then, carry out the necessary debugging. For instance, take care to adhere to the ground sensor coil's wiring specifications when attaching it. Create a nest that is 10 cm deep and 2 x 0.8 m square. Then, cut the four corners into 45-degree bevels. Then, arrange the ground sensor coil (1 square millimeter) in circles, creating 6–8 layers. Each layer of the coil needs to be firmly compressed and should not have any joints. As close as possible is the distance between the gate and the ground sensor coil's output end. Once connected, use dry cement to seal the nest.
