Typical Swing Door Machine Issues And Fixes

The swing door machine is unable to turn on

Issues with the power supply and switch

First, make sure the incoming line is powered on and that the switch and power supply are both switched on. This is the simplest inspection stage because the swing door machine will not start by default if the power is not connected or if the switch is off. To find out if the incoming line contains electricity, you can use instruments like multimeters or electric pens. For instance, the circuit in certain historic buildings may be outdated or malfunctioning, which would prevent the swing door mechanism from receiving power. Simply tighten the power plug if it's loose; if it's a circuit failure, you should get in touch with a qualified electrician for repair.

Failure of the controller

It can be a controller failure if the switch and power supply are in good working order. Check to see if the controller indicator light is on and whether the wires connecting the controller and motor are dropped or loose. The swing door machine's controller is its central control unit. The controller might not be able to send the right command to start the motor if it malfunctions. For instance, prolonged use or moisture damage may harm the controller's internal circuit components. You can attempt replacing the controller or contacting the manufacturer for repair if you discover that the controller indication light is out and there isn't a problem with the connection wire.

After opening the door, the swing door machine is unable to close it

Issue with the control mainboard signal

First, look at the control mainboard's signal light. The mainboard always receives the door opening signal and the door cannot be closed if the door opening signal light is always on. This is caused by the door opening + and - being short-circuited. In this situation, you must examine the circuit to look for any short circuits or damaged wires. You can replace or repair the damaged wire if you discover that the circuit is malfunctioning.

Failure of the sensor

To feel the door leaf, make sure the sensor indication light is on when the leaf is closed. The door will not close if the sensor malfunctions and is unable to accurately detect the door body's closed state. For instance, the internal parts may be broken or dust may have obstructed the sensor. The sensor's surface can be cleaned. It could be necessary to replace the sensor if the issue continues.

There are frequent opening and closing phenomena and the swing door mechanism is not operating smoothly

Issue with the swing stopper

Friction with the door leaf from a loose or broken swing stopper interferes with the door body's ability to operate normally. Verify that the screws are tight and that the sway stopper is securely fastened. The sway stopper must be replaced or repaired as soon as possible if any of its components are broken, such as by roller wear, etc. The sway stopper's job is to keep the door body from swinging excessively. If it has issues, it will make it difficult for the door body to move and perform poorly.

Problem with the hanging wheel

Verify whether the hanging wheel's wear or dust is the source of the resistance. For the door body to run on the track, the hanging wheel is an essential part. It will be more difficult to operate the door body and create more friction if the hanging wheel is badly worn. Dust buildup between the track and the hanging wheel will also create resistance at the same time. It is possible to clean the track and the hanging wheel. It is necessary to replace the hanging wheel if it is extremely worn.

The swing door machine is making an odd noise

Friction issue in parts

Verify if the sway stopper's unusual noise is caused by friction with the door leaf. Friction noise may be produced if the door leaf and sway stopper are not placed correctly or if the parts are distorted. This issue can be resolved by moving the sway stopper or fixing the damaged components. Additionally, make sure that the screws holding the motor, tail wheel, electromechanical beam fixing, door leaf, and hanging wheel connections are all loose. The door will wobble and produce strange noises when it is operating if the screws are loose. The proper amount of tightness must be applied to the screws.

Belt issue

Whether the belt is old or dusty from prolonged usage, strange noises are produced by the friction with the wheel. You can start by clearing the dust from the belt's and the wheel's surfaces if the belt is making strange noises. You should replace the belt if it is really old, damaged, loose, etc.

The remote control for the swing door machine is inoperable or insensitive

Issue with the battery

Verify that the voltage of the transmitter's battery is less than 10V. A prevalent issue is the remote control's low battery life. A low battery voltage will result in a weak signal from the remote control, which will either prevent the swing door machine from receiving the signal at all or make the signal that is received insensitive. Simply swap out the battery for a fresh one if this is the case. Some swing door machine remote controllers, for instance, run on regular dry batteries. Long-term use will cause the battery to gradually deplete. Checking the battery's power is usually necessary every few months.

Moisture and electromagnetic interference issues

Verify whether electromagnetic interference is present in the area. A powerful magnetic field source, like a big motor, transformer, etc., near the swing door machine could disrupt the remote control's signal transmission. To prevent electromagnetic interference at this time, you must move the swing door machine or other source of interference a specific distance away. Additionally, make sure the remote control is wet and that the buttons are free of grime. The internal circuit may short circuit if the remote control is humid, and dirt on the buttons will interfere with the buttons' ability to function normally. The remote control can be disassembled, cleaned with a dry cloth, and then allowed to air dry in a well-ventilated area.

Issue with the voltage of the controller power supply

Verify if the voltage from the controller's power source is low. The controller might not be able to receive and process the remote control signal normally if the power supply voltage is too low. To find the controller's power supply voltage, you can use a voltmeter. If it is low, you must determine whether there is a problem with the power supply component, including whether the power transformer is operating correctly and whether the power cable is damaged.
