Working principle of door opener control box:
The central part of the door opening system is the door opener control box, which operates on the basis of several parts operating in unison.
Signal Processing And Reception
The access control system uses input devices, such as the card reader, exit button, door magnetic signal, etc., to send data to the control box. For instance, the card reader reads the data on the card (such a smart card) and transmits the information to the control box that includes the user's identity. By giving the control box a foundation for judgment, these input devices function similarly to the "sensory organs" of the box. The card reader employs a certain card reader module to read the card information. For instance, certain card reader modules that operate at 125 kHz read data from the EM4100 card using RF001 modules. The card's LC oscillation circuit creates series resonance as it enters the card reading working area, charges the internal capacitor, and ultimately achieves a working voltage of 1.5–7.5V. Currently, the card's data is continually transmitted, received, and demodulated by the card reader module, which then outputs the Manchester code of TTL level to the control box via the pin.
The exit button is only a basic trigger mechanism. An electrical signal is created and sent to the control box when the user clicks the exit button, signaling that they must go.
The door magnetic signal is utilized to determine the state of the door (open or closed). The door magnetic will relay this status signal to the control box if the door is in an aberrant state, such as not being closed normally.
The control box's CPU and memory evaluate, assess, contrast, and store the input signals. Using the access control system as an example, the CPU will match the card information from the card reader with the permission information that has already been stored in the RAM when it gets to the control box. The control box will open the door if the card information is legitimate (for instance, it is in the authorization list and hasn't expired); if it isn't, it might set off alarms or other functions.
In this process, the control box is like a small computer, which processes the input signal according to the preset program and algorithm to decide whether to allow the door to be opened and how to handle different door states and user operations.
Control Output
When the control box determines that the door can be opened, it will control the action of the electric lock through the output device. For example, in the electric lock drive circuit, after the main control device (control box) receives the card number, it determines the legitimacy of the card number. If the card number is legitimate, it executes the door opening action, that is, the P2.7 of the microcontroller is set to a low level, the optoelectronic isolator works, the test point A becomes a high level, the transistor is turned on, the relay coil is driven, the switch is closed, and the electric lock is opened; when P2.7 is set to a high level, the relay loses power and the electric lock is closed.
Different types of electric locks, such as electromagnetic locks and anode locks, have different connection and interaction methods with the control box, but the basic principle is that the control box controls the power-on or power-off state of the electric lock to open and close the door. For example, the electromagnetic lock is in the open state when the power is off, and the anode lock is also in the open state after the power is off and is installed on the upper part of the door frame. They all require the control box to accurately control whether it is powered on or not according to the authorization situation.
The control box may also be used to operate other associated devices in addition to the electronic lock. For instance, the control box and the alarm can be linked in certain sophisticated door opening systems. The control box will emit an alarm signal in the event of an illegal incursion, such as repeated attempts to open the door using an unauthorized card or violent door opening.
Video surveillance equipment can also be connected to certain door opener control boxes. Relevant video data can be captured when the door's condition changes, such as when it opens or stays open for an extended period of time. Post-event analysis and security monitoring can both benefit from this data.
